Police Staffing and Coverage Notice
The Borough of Parkside remains committed to providing consistent and professional law enforcement services to our residents. Due to a current shortage in manpower and ongoing budgetary constraints, our department is experiencing challenges in maintaining full 24/7 coverage.
We want to assure the public that we are actively working to increase our part-time staffing levels to restore full coverage as quickly as possible. In the interim, and to ensure continued public safety, we have coordinated with the Pennsylvania State Police to provide coverage during shifts that our department is unable to fill.
Beginning this weekend, the State Police will assist in maintaining law enforcement response capabilities within our jurisdiction during these uncovered shifts. We are grateful for their support and partnership during this time.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work through these staffing challenges. Our commitment to the safety and well-being of our community remains our highest priority.
Best Regards,
Chief McKeown
