Crisis Services

If someone is in immediate danger (e.g., suicidal), call 911.

For voluntary inpatient care, contact a social worker, psychiatrist, or therapist, or visit the Stabilization–Triage–Assessment Referral Program at 2200 Providence Ave in Chester, PA.

Call the Mobile Crisis Team at 1-855-889-7827 for all other cases. They can assess the situation by phone or in person. If involuntary admission is needed, they will complete and submit a petition to the County Delegate for approval.

Once approved, police transport the individual to the nearest emergency department for evaluation and possible admission (up to 5 days).

The Delaware County Office of Mental Health will follow up with petitioners and explain next steps, including the 303 hearing if extended care is needed.
