Storm Sewer Replacement on Edgmont Avenue
Tuesday, July 29 – Friday, August 8, 2025
The Borough of Parkside will be conducting storm sewer replacement work on Edgmont Avenue from Tuesday, July 29 through Friday, August 8, 2025.
This essential project will replace failing underground storm sewer lines to help maintain roadway safety and reliability.
📍 Project Details
Location: Edgmont Avenue, between Elbon Road and West Forrestview Road
Scope of Work: Replacement of deteriorating storm sewer lines and associated roadway restoration
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
🔁 Detour Information
Northbound Detour (from the City of Chester): Begins at 22nd Street
Southbound Detour (from the Borough of Brookhaven): Begins at Upland Road
🚗 Please allow extra travel time and follow all posted signage. Detours will be clearly marked for your safety and convenience.
🚙 Road Accessibility
Edgmont Avenue will reopen daily after construction concludes and temporary restoration is completed.
The road will be fully accessible outside of working hours.
Access for residents may be limited during working hours.
