Message from Council President Anna Guy

The company that obtained a permit to solicit is a public adjusting company that is not hired by your insurance company, but rather works on your behalf to get a better claim from your insurance. They obtained the permit in accordance with an ordinance passed in 2002. They are permitted to knock on doors for 6 months based on this permit unless there is evidence of good cause to revoke.

Unfortunately, there are posts out there that accuse these men of being storm chasers. This is untrue. Storm chasers are contractors. Please do your own research.

I am not endorsing this man's business because it is not my place but I am appalled at the lies being told about him that are being taken as fact. These men have families and do not deserve to have their livelihoods affected by lies.
